In the March 2014 edition of the ACE Reporter, we promised members a new website as part of our plans to continue to develop the resources available to members. We have since commissioned Blue Mantis to develop a completely new site and worked tirelessly on the design and content over a number of weeks. We were very pleased to launch the website on the 22nd of May 2014. The new website has a more professional look and provides ACE with a useful tool to promote the work of the association and that of our member organisations. There are many new features including an exclusive members’ area for sharing information and networking (member’s area available mid-June 2014). This area will include a list of all ACE members and their contact details; a bulletin board that will provide an opportunity for members to post news, share ideas, ask for advice and make event suggestions, as well as a list of ‘Interest Groups’ for members who have clustered together based on common interests.
Additionally, the website provides a number of informative resources for free download, including: all AGM minutes and paperwork; details of future board meetings; articles focusing on Arm’s Length Bodies; the latest Civil Service reform updates; timely guidance on purdah; and numerous additional items which will support members with their responsibilities and challenges. We hope to use the new website to promote best practice stories from member organisations on how they have improved delivery, delivered reform, or handled change. We hope all members will make use of and enjoy these new and improved features. If you have any suggestions for the website, especially regarding the members’ area, or have any reports or materials to contribute, please get in touch.
