The Association of Chief Executives and its sister organisation, the Public Chairs’ Forum are seeking a new manager for its Secretariat. The role is a terrific secondment for someone from an arm's-length body, providing an excellent learning opportunity to develop a range of skills – developing and delivering services and events; stakeholder management, including cross-government working; leadership and autonomy; communications; research; and financial management.
The opportunity is ideal for a highly motivated, organised and experienced manager, with an interest in wider government and policy relating to arm’s-length bodies. The individual will head up a small and friendly team and will also benefit from being a part of the wider Institute for Government community, as well as contact with chairs and chief executives of a wide range of public bodies. We anticipate that the secondment would be for an initial period of two years.
